What this is

This is a research and documentation project. The records, boundaries and dates it shows are the result of field survey and archival work, and are published so they can be read, checked and corrected.

It is not a legal record

Nothing here establishes or proves ownership, title, or a boundary. Outlines drawn on the map are approximate and are for locating a property, not for defining what belongs to it. Do not rely on this material for a legal, financial or commercial decision.

Your account

Access is by account, and accounts are approved by the project team, which may decline a request or later withdraw access, for example if these terms are not respected.

• An account is for one person. Give accurate details when you request it.
• Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
• Do not share the map's data in bulk outside the uses allowed below.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or by writing to us.

Adding a property

You may propose a record. When you send one:

• Send only information you believe to be accurate, and that is yours to share.
• You give the project permission to publish it, edit it for clarity, and keep it as part of the record.
• Do not include personal information about other people.

Every submission is reviewed before it appears on the map. The project team may edit, hold or decline a record.

Photographs

Only attach photographs you took or are free to share, and do not upload identifiable pictures of people without their consent.

Acceptable use

Use the app and the site as they are meant to be used. Do not submit false records, do not automate bulk requests against the service, and do not use the material to harass anyone or to misrepresent the project.

Copyright and reuse

Satellite imagery belongs to Esri and is used under their terms. The project's own text, records and drawings belong to the partner institutions. You may quote and reuse them for research, teaching and journalism with attribution to the project; for any other use, please ask us first.

Availability

The service is provided as it is. Records are added and corrected as the work continues, and the service may be interrupted or changed.
